Mark Scarpelli, chairman of the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA), receives a plaque from Amy Gardner-Nummer of the American Red Cross Blood Services recognizing the success of the Chicago Auto Show's 10th annual blood drive. In its largest Chicagoland blood drive, 4,020 units have been donated to the Red Cross over the run of the program, resulting in more than 10,000 plasma, platelet, red cell and cryo-precipitate blood products. The CATA donates more than 1,000 sq. ft. of auto show floor space every year to the Red Cross for the event.
